Time to grab a warm cup of tea and cozy up!  🍵

Depending on where you live, the seasons may slowly be changing and the mornings may feel cool and crisp. 🍁 Fall (or Spring) is such a powerful time to remember herbal medicine as it supports us through big seasonal and temperature changes.

Herbs work so wisely and beautifully with our bodies and cycles and that's why I'm highlighting a few of our favorite herbs to support you in the coming months!

My Favorite Herbs for Women's Health

  • Red raspberry leaf: the ultimate female herb! Iron rich, supports the toning of the uterus, a fabulous fertility herb and traditionally used to support womb and cyclical health. It's lovely as a tea
  • Nettle leaf: the multi mineral of the herb world! Nettle is incredibly rich and you'll find making a tea with nettle brews a dark green tea that is deep and nourishing. Great as a tea
  • Oatstraw: a lovely herb that supports calcium + magnesium levels. I like adding this to tea blends to make an extra nutrient dense drink
  • Lemonbalm: calming, relaxing and supportive for rest. This is a fabulous herb to work with in times of stress or overwhelm to support resiliency. I love it as a tea

Herbs are POWERFUL! They intelligently work with our bodies, flood our bodies with nutrients and can have incredible benefits like toning of the uterus, stress reduction, sleep support and more! 🌿

How I make my nourishing teas:

  1. add loose herbs or tea bags to a glass jar or French press

  2.  boil filtered water

  3.  pour water into glass container and cover with lid

  4.  let sit for at least an hour to pull nutrients

  5.  drink and enjoy (reheat if desired)

I enjoy 1-2 cups of herbal tea daily for deep minerals 🥰

You can purchase these herbs at most local health food stores or herbal shops. I love Mountain Rose Herbs for high quality organic herbs in bulk. Or if you prefer a tea that is already crafted, you can grab my carefully curated Cycle Balancing tea from Healing Mama Botanicals. ❤️

Steeping a nourishing cup of warm tea such an easy ritual to have every month, especially in your luteal and period phase (but it can be enjoyed all month long and post menopause too!)

Key things to remember with herbal teas:

  • If possible, it's ideal to brew them for at least 30 minutes to pull the nutrients from the herbs. I also like to cover the mug or glass with a lid or plate to hold in the steam (as some nutrients are lost in the steam)
  • Making teas can be a very ritualistic, sacred act so allow yourself to nourish yourself from a place of self love, joy and routine 🍵

Do you also love teas?! Any favorite herbs I didn't mention here? 💜

Will this one thing heal your hormones? Probably not alone! But alongside nourishing foods, metabolically supportive meals, mineral balance and a root cause based approach, we can transform our health (that’s what Period Reboot is allllll about!)

If you suspect excess estrogen (or any hormone imbalances) doing the DUTCH test is a comprehensive way to gather the data and a test I utilize often with my clients.

You don't have to feel in the dark about your symptoms anymore and if your doctor is saying "NO" when you request hormone testing, please know there are options! If you're ready to get to the root of what's going on, check out my Work With Me page to learn how to begin this journey of support, nourishment and hormone balance.

If your hormones feel off, they probably are! So don't brush it off and assume everything is "normal" when you feel anything but. xx
